A PERFECT SATURDAY AT STORYBROOK

By some miracle, the kids actually let you sleep in a bit this Saturday. You awake feeling refreshed and energized in your new Storybrook home! To make things even better, your neighbour is the soccer coach and she’s agreed to take the kids to practice. This means you have the whole morning to yourself.

MEET A FRIEND AT MARKET STREET CAFÉ
With the kids off to practice, you head out the door to meet your friend at Market Street Café. Located at 101 Queen St. W in Fergus Market, this charming destination is a favourite among locals for their excellent breakfast and lunch menu. Your friend has an amazing chicken and bacon wrap, while you opt for the French Toast — which is also delicious. So far, your Saturday is off to a great start.

FIND A BIRTHDAY PRESENT FOR YOUR MOM
With a little more time to spare this morning, you head down to St. Andrew Street to find the perfect birthday present for your mom. There are so many great little shops to explore, that you’re sure you’ll find something that’s just right. Before long, you come across a beautiful scented candle set at Joanie’s Gifts & Stained Glass supplies. Known for their reasonable prices and excellent selection of gifts and crafts, this little gem at 116 St. Andrew St. just made your Saturday gift shopping a whole lot easier.

MAKE LUNCH FOR THE KIDS
With your master planned home at Storybrook just minutes away from downtown Fergus, it’s easy to get home and make a quick lunch for the kids after soccer practice. With chef-inspired features and finishes, your new Storybrook kitchen is so beautiful that you’re actually happy to have an excuse to spend a little time there this afternoon, and the open concept main floor design makes it easy to keep an eye on the kids while you get everything ready.

Take the Kids for a Hike at Bellwood Lake Conservation Area
The kids are back from soccer, but they’re still trying to keep practice going in the living room. Located at 8282 Wellington County Rd., Bellwood Lake Conservation Area is the ideal setting for the kids to burn off a little more energy. There are 3.3 km of trails right within the park, and it’s connected to the 42 km Elora-Cataract Trailway, so you’re able to get in all the exercise you need.

BIRTHDAY DINNER AT BREWHOUSE ON THE GRAND
After the big hike, the kids are all well-behaved at their Grandma’s big birthday dinner at Brewhouse on the Grand. Situated in a breathtaking historic building along the banks of the majestic Grand River at 170 David St. South, it’s an excellent choice for a casual family meal. There’s a wonderful selection of pub fare, so everyone in the family finds something that they love. Of course your mom also loves her gift, the perfect end to a perfect day.
